2) Scope of this Policy

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you:

  • visit or use the Site;

  • request quotes, book services or rentals, or create/manage an account;

  • communicate with us by email, phone, SMS, social media, or website forms; or

  • otherwise engage with our services (including on-site consultations and installations).

It applies to visitors worldwide, including residents of U.S. states with consumer-privacy laws and users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

3) Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically:

  • Identifiers & contact details. Name, email, phone number, billing and service-site addresses, and IP address.

  • Government/verification details. Driver’s license or other ID numbers you choose to submit for age/identity or insurance verification (e.g., rentals).

  • Commercial records. Quotes and inquiries, reservations and work orders, rental/service history, items or equipment requested, project notes, customer-service communications, and participation in promotions.

  • Payments. Tokenized card/ACH data processed by PCI-DSS certified processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

  • Technical data. Device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, time/date stamps, error logs, and diagnostics.

  • Location data. IP-based coarse location and (if you enable it) precise mobile location to suggest nearby services, route crews, and prevent fraud.

  • Project & site details. Job-site photos/video (before/after), property layout notes, HOA/permit information, access instructions (e.g., gate codes you choose to provide), and pet details relevant to Pooper Scoopers.

  • User content. Photos/documents you upload; reviews and testimonials.

  • Inferences. Preferences and trends (e.g., service interests or rental demand) derived from other data.

  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., biometric templates, precise health data) unless you provide it for a clear, limited purpose. If you believe we received such data in error, contact us to remove it.

4) SMS Messaging

By providing your mobile number and selecting “Subscribe,” “Opt In,” or similar—or otherwise requesting text updates—you consent to receive transactional (e.g., booking updates, delivery notices) and promotional (e.g., offers) messages from Mud Puppy.

  • Message frequency: varies by interaction and typically does not exceed eight (8) messages per month for promotional content. Transactional messages may occur as needed to fulfill services.

  • Opt-out: Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to any message or text those keywords to 346-340-4234. We will confirm your opt-out.

  • Help: Reply HELP or text HELP to 346-340-4234, email admin@gomudpuppy.com, or call 346-340-4234.

  • Rates: Message/data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  • No purchase condition: Consent is not a condition of purchase.

5) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use first- and third-party cookies, pixels, and local storage to:

  • remember carts, forms, and account settings;

  • perform analytics (e.g., understanding traffic and site performance);

  • measure and improve ads (e.g., ad platforms and conversion pixels).

You can manage cookies in your browser/device. Some features may not function if cookies are disabled. Where required, we provide additional controls (including opt-outs for “sale”/“sharing” as defined by certain state laws) and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for applicable activities.

6) How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, schedule, deliver, and support services and rentals;

  • process payments, issue refunds, and prevent fraud or misuse;

  • communicate about quotes, projects, deliveries/pickups, changes, and support;

  • personalize your experience, remember preferences, and improve our Site and services;

  • conduct analytics and develop new features and offerings;

  • send marketing, promotions, and surveys (with required consent/opt-out rights);

  • comply with legal/tax obligations and enforce agreements; and

  • protect the rights, safety, and property of you, us, and others.

With your permission, we may feature project photos or testimonials in our portfolio/marketing. You can withdraw permission at any time.

7) How We Share Information

We share personal data only as necessary and pursuant to contracts restricting secondary use:

  • Service providers: payment processors, cloud hosting, CRM/scheduling, communications (email/SMS), identity verification, insurers, and IT/security.

  • Licensed trade partners/subcontractors: e.g., electricians, concrete crews, arborists, or specialty installers needed to fulfill your project.

  • Business partners at your direction: e.g., a specialty rental fulfilled by an affiliate.

  • Advertising/analytics partners: may receive pseudonymized identifiers for measurement and interest-based advertising; you can opt out as described in Sections 5 and 9.

  • Legal/safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights/safety.

  • Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; any new owner will honor this Policy or provide a notice of material changes.

We do not sell personal data for money. Some states define “sale” or “sharing” to include targeted-advertising cookies. Where that definition applies, you can opt out via our cookie controls/GPC as described herein.

8) Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in Section 6, including:

  • Rental/service & tax records: 7 years

  • Marketing consents: until withdrawn

  • Analytics logs: up to 26 months

  • Legal holds/disputes: for the duration required

When retention ends, we delete or de-identify data.

9) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., CA, CO, CT, VA, UT, TX, and other U.S. states; EEA/UK/CH), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising, “sale,” or certain profiling).

To make a request:

We will verify your identity and respond within required timeframes. Authorized agents may act on your behalf with signed permission and identity verification. If we deny your request (where permitted), you may appeal by replying to our decision email with “Appeal.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Opt-out of marketing: click “unsubscribe” in emails or text STOP to SMS. Transactional messages may still be sent.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.

10) Cross-Border Transfers

We host data in the United States. For EEA/UK/Swiss users, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful mechanisms with appropriate safeguards.

11) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—TLS encryption, role-based access, MFA, intrusion detection, and periodic reviews. No method is 100% secure; use strong, unique passwords and notify us of suspected compromise.

12) Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect children’s data. Parents/guardians may contact admin@gomudpuppy.com to request deletion.

13) Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review. If we introduce such systems (e.g., automated fraud screening), you may request human intervention where required by law.

14) Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites or device apps (e.g., payment gateways, product manufacturers). Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before providing information.

15) Do-Not-Track (DNT) Signals

Because no industry standard exists for DNT, we do not respond to DNT browser signals. See Sections 5 and 9 for state-law opt-outs and GPC.

16) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy for new services, legal requirements, or technical changes. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide email or prominent Site notice at least 30 days in advance, unless a shorter period is required by law.
