Born on Galveston Island and proudly serving Greater Houston, the Bay Area, and now Austin, Mud Puppy Outdoor Solutions is a Veteran- and Firefighter-owned company built on hard work, straight talk, and Texas pride. We design and build outdoor spaces that look great, live easy, and hold up to Gulf Coast weather—because around here, sun, salt, wind, and rain are part of everyday life.

Our Story

Mud Puppy started as a simple idea: do honest work, treat people like neighbors, and build things that last. Our founder, Jared A. Davis, is a U.S. Army Veteran and Texas Firefighter who’s spent his life showing up when folks need help most. That mindset—calm under pressure, mission-ready, and committed to service—shapes how we run our crews and care for our customers.

Why the name “Mud Puppy”? It nods to two things that define us: loyal working dogs and tough job sites. Whether we’re setting posts after a rainstorm or standing up pergolas in summer heat, we stay steady, do it right, and leave things better than we found them. That’s the promise we’ve built our reputation on.
